Techland, the studio behind Dying Light games, is currently working on a new open-world AAA action RPG! The production promises to be great, and the company has unveiled a visual that makes us want to discover more.

After the great success of Dying Light 2, the Polish studios of Techland are in full swing. At the origin of numerous video game productions, including the Dying Light and Call of Juarez, licenses the company, it now wants to recruit new talent to strengthen its teams. But for what purpose?

A new action RPG
While Techland’s latest game, Dying Light 2, has only been out for three months, the studio teams are back at work. In question is the arrival of a new AAA Action RPG in the open world! Few clues have been revealed by Techland about the game’s plot or setting, other than that the latter will take place within “a fantastic universe.” Additionally, the image revealed by the brand (below) shows a person standing in front of what appears to be the remains of an ancient civilization.

It is a monumental production that requires a lot of investment from the company and its production teams. Although they already have industry leaders, the latter still needs to be expanded, so Techland has launched an effective recruitment campaign.

There is something for everyone and especially for all trades. It covers all positions, from web development to game design to human resources. It is a golden opportunity for people looking for work in the video game industry, allowing them to join this company that seems to have been in full development in recent years and that does not hesitate to chain AAA productions.

Big names are already present on the team.
The new licensing team includes industry veterans, including:
Karolina Stachyra – Narrative Director who previously worked for CD Projekt Red on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and their DLCs.
Arkadiusz Borowik – Narrative Lead who previously worked for CD Projekt Red on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and their DLCs.

In addition, in recent months, the team has been reinforced with the arrival of:
Bartosz Ochman
– Open World Director, who previously worked on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Mario Maltezos – Experienced Creative Director, has worked with companies such as Ubisoft (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), Warner Bros (Mad Max), and Microsoft.
David McClure – Lead Game Designer formerly associated with Arkane Studios (Deathloop), Deep Silver, and Playground Games.
Kevin Quaid – Lead Animator with over eight years of experience at Guerilla Games who has worked on titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn and its expansion The Frozen Wilds
Marcin Surosz – Lead UI/UX Designer with a remarkable ability to identify player needs, formerly at People Can Fly.
A flashy team, therefore, that will actively work on the next project of the Polish studios. One thing is for sure, and we can’t wait to see what Techland has in store for us with this new AAA!
