Last year Guy Beam, former Sledgehammer Games level designer, better known as streamer Dr. Disrespect announced the founding of an AAA gaming studio with former Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling and Halo 5 multiplayer designer Quinn Delhoyo.

Until recently, little was known about the game, except that it will be a multiplayer first-person shooter created on the Unreal Engine 5 engine. The information appeared on the developer’s blog that Project Moon is a vertical extraction-shooter. Extraction-shooter refers to a PvPvE game such as Escape from Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown where players save loot acquired during a game session.

Project Moon’s roadmap foresees that every six weeks the founders will share vertical slices of key aspects of the game, designed to focus the community on specific features and mechanics.
